We changed the first step of using Coplay. You’ll see a screen to download dependencies. Downloading is a one-time thing, so you won’t be kept back from game development for long!

New Feature: We added a snapping tool! Sometimes you want things to be place in a grid, or in relation to another object. Just ask Coplay to snap it for you!

New Pipeline Recording mode. This replaces the record-and-replay feature we had before with a dedicated mode that makes it easier for you to see what’s recorded and to edit the pipelines.

New Feature: Bring-your-own-key: you can now enter your own anthropic key for cases where the global Claude rate limits we hit might slow you down. In the future, this will also double as the free tier for you to use Coplay with. I.e. you can provide your own key and continue to use Coplay for free

Max Requests: At the moment this is hard coded to 20. We’ve seen some cases where coplay runs without stopping overnight. This is a temporary stopgap to ensure AI doesn’t take over the world
Improved Visual Understanding (Experimental): Update to push the model to visually check it’s changes. (Warning, we’ve seen some cases where it causes the model to iterate for longer — don’t be afraid to stop the model early and give it new feedback/instructions)
